What the Job Involves
In this role, you will assist the Chief Contracts Lawyer in planning and coordinating legal work related to contracts, procurement, and economic regeneration. You will manage complex contract work, provide legal advice, draft and negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with legal constraints. You will also investigate contract claims, maintain knowledge of relevant legal developments, draft and comment on reports, and support litigation and general legal services work as needed. Additionally, you will contribute to leadership processes, manage financial resources, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive cultural change across the council.
