What the Job Involves
Your primary role is to ensure that all mechanical works carried out on-site meet project specifications, technical briefs, and legislative requirements. You will maintain communication channels with client officers, contractors, and other stakeholders, and conduct thorough site inspections. You will provide high standards of quality assurance, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and offer technical advice and guidance. You will also be responsible for supervising contractors, preparing project reports, and delivering projects within budget and on schedule.
Skills
- Technical knowledge of mechanical installations, gas installations, and heat networks
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Technical report writing skills
- Solution-driven problem-solving abilities
- Project planning and delivery skills
- Experience with supervising work in progress
- Knowledge of building services design and specification
- On-site inspection experience
- Familiarity with statutory regulations and British Standards
- Capability to manage and oversee contractors
