Who You Are
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapy Practitioner to cover a one-year maternity leave for the Lead Practitioner role in the West Locality Occupational Therapy Team.
What the job involves
This role is part of a long-term complex team focused on major adaptations via the Disabled Facilities Grant pathway and the assessment and provision of complex equipment, including manual handling solutions, with a strong emphasis on supporting service users to remain safe and independent at home. Responsibilities include day-to-day team leadership, supervising up to three staff members, delivering complex Care Act assessments, and maintaining professional standards and best practices.
Skills
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
- Strong experience in complex assessments
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (Care Act, MCA, DFG)
- Experience in supervision
- Proficiency in manual handling
