Who You Are
You are a passionate and dedicated Social Worker with a commitment to supporting children, young people, and their families. As a fully qualified and accredited social work professional, you possess a sound understanding of current legislation and government guidance, such as the Children Act 1989 and Children Act 2004. You are registered with Social Work England and hold a strong commitment to working within the Health and Care Professions Council’s Code of Practice. You are capable of making informed decisions and display empathy and effective communication skills, especially in challenging situations.
What the Job Involves
In this role, you will manage a caseload including Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children. You will perform assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure timely and positive outcomes. You'll liaise with various stakeholders to achieve the Directorate's statutory duties, maintaining detailed case records and preparing reports. You will ensure that all interventions aim to improve outcomes for children, promoting family and community engagement. The role may involve supervising Social Work students and dealing with complex and high-risk cases.
