Who You Are
You are a fully qualified and accredited social work professional, registered with Social Work England, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to children, young people, and their families. You have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and experience in multi-agency collaborative working environments. With a confident grasp of the English language, both spoken and written, you are ready to engage with complex and high-risk cases. You must be able to work in the office full-time during the first four weeks before transitioning to a flexible work schedule.
What the Job Involves
As a Social Worker, you will manage a caseload involving Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children through assessments, plan formulation, monitoring, and collaboration with other agencies. You will take on responsibilities such as managing and prioritizing your cases, engaging in supervision, and maintaining the confidentiality of information. You will work closely with other agencies, support families, and make decisions aimed at improving outcomes for children, including safeguarding and court-related activities. You will also contribute to the planning and development of Directorate's services and play a pivotal role in multi-agency initiatives.
