Job Title: Team Manager

Department: Children’s Services

Division: Children’s Social Care

Reports to: Service Manager

Responsible for: Social workers and Personal Advisors

Who You Are

You are an experienced social work professional with significant operational and strategic experience in a front-line statutory child protection setting. You possess thorough knowledge of legislation, statutory regulations, and Government guidance relevant to children in need, child protection, and care planning. You have a recognized social work qualification and current Social Work England Registration.

What the job involves

The role involves leading and managing a team of social workers to safeguard and promote the best interests of children. You will manage day-to-day operations, ensuring services align with Government policies, legislation, and council procedures. Responsibilities include leading frontline staff through policy changes, supporting service managers in strategy development, managing budgets, and optimizing resources. You will also ensure effective inter-agency collaboration, chair case meetings, and regularly report and analyze team performance and service outcomes.
