Who You Are
As an Electrical Inspector, you are a seasoned professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles. You possess a solid understanding of electrical installations, particularly in domestic and residential buildings, and have UK recognized qualifications. Your commercial aptitude, professional standing, and strong communication skills enable you to liaise effectively with various stakeholders. You maintain your Continued Professional Development (CPD) and have a firm grasp of industry regulations and standards. Additionally, you are computer literate and experienced in producing technical reports. Your experience in electrical contracting or consultancy within the social housing sector is essential.
What the Job Involves
In this role, you will conduct surveys of low/high-rise buildings and prepare various reports, including Condition and Feasibility Reports. You will perform inspections, recording progress and addressing issues related to electrical services. Your role involves liaising with project managers, attending progress meetings, and ensuring quality standards through snagging with the main contractor. Additionally, you will manage customer care, sometimes working out of hours. You will work with colleagues and stakeholders to oversee handovers and ensure a smooth transition to repairs and maintenance.
Skills
- City & Guilds (Level 3) or equivalent
- IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
- Proficient in written & verbal communication
- Proficient in MS Office Packages (Word/Outlook/Excel)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- Solid understanding of electrical regulations and standards
- Experience in technical report writing
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
