Who You Are
As an Electrical Inspector, you will join a robust and professional team of electrical engineers working within the residential social housing sector. You will be responsible for the cyclical replacement of electrical services to a large building stock, including high-rise buildings. You must be computer literate and demonstrate experience in electrical contracting or consultancy, particularly within the social housing sector.
What the Job Involves
The role involves conducting surveys of low and high-rise buildings, writing reports, and performing inspections to record the progress of electrical works on-site. You will identify issues related to specification, regulatory, health & safety, and engineering preference. Additionally, you will liaise with project managers and engineers, participate in project progress meetings, and address customer care by liaising with residents, sometimes working out of hours. Other tasks include quality and standards checks, snagging with the main contractor, and managing the handover process to repairs and maintenance.
Skills
- City & Guilds (Level 3) or equivalent
- IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
- 5 years+ working experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of Electrical Installations in Domestic and Residential Buildings
- Proficient in written & verbal communication
- Proficient in MS Office Packages (Word/Outlook/Excel)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- UK recognized qualifications
